Think of these like workspaces for new products to begin development, and just like setting up the Catalog, we can also “nest” workspaces in the PLM. With each section, you will be able to assign users to different sections:
Departments are the top level of the hierarchy, if a user is assigned to a department, they will have the same permissions on the subsequent Categories
Categories “nest” under Departments and can have subcategories as well
Categories are the workspaces where new product development work occurs, and departments are an organizational tool for user permissions and to group work conducted in Categories.
