Introducing an upgrade to our existing Components section. Components now provide options for your items to be bought and sold with color/size/material runs. You are now able to create a more diverse mix within your assortment. Follow the steps below and give it a try!

These components will be included in any product details page throughout Surefront, but note that you can either select Product Sets or Color/Size/Material run. You are unable to select both for a single item.

Keep in mind that these types of components are best for products that have available variations where each variation can have a defined values for quantity, cost, and price. If you are looking to create products that will be sold as a set of components check out this article on setting up product sets:

On any product details page in the catalog, projects, quotes, and orders you will see the option to setup a color/size/material run.

Scroll Down until you come across these 2 buttons in the Components section.

You will then find color name, color code and ratio as blank fields to fill in. Color code is optional, while name and ratio are required. For Ratio, be sure to fill out how many will come in the pack for that specific style.

Click save once you are done and you will then be able to use this item on projects, quotes, orders, etc. Below is an example of how an order will look when using this option:

In this setup form you may also provide pre-pack ratios for each size, color, or material breakdown. This option is helpful to split overall quantity by a pre-defined ratio for color, size, and material.

Setting up and editing each component

After completing the form by providing color, size, and material breakdowns and pre-pack ratios you may edit attributes of each of the components.

Notice there is a "Bulk Edit" option available so that you may select more than one component and edit fields where the components have common values

Interacting with these components in tables

These components show up as individual line items in projects, quotes, and orders. When entering in a quantity at the overall product level, the quantity will be split by your pre-defined pre-pack ratios. If you want to ignore these ratios, simply toggle the switch next to "Quantity" in the table header and you can define a specific quantity value for each component.
