Managing Catalog Backups

Surefront's Catalog Backups allow administrators to create downloadable copies of their catalog data. You can configure backups to run automatically on a recurring schedule or download a full catalog backup whenever you need one.

Access Catalog Backups

To access your backup settings:

Navigate to Administration.
Select Catalog Management.
Select Backups.

From the Backups page, you can configure automatic backups, download a new backup, and access previously generated backups.

Set Up Automatic Backups

Turn on Automatic Backups to begin configuring your backup schedule.

Choose When Your Backup Runs

Under When, configure how frequently Surefront should create a backup.

Select your preferred:

Frequency
Day
Time
Time zone

Your backup will automatically run according to this schedule.

Choose What to Include

Under What, choose the data you want included in your scheduled backups.

Catalog backups include your product data, including fields such as Last Updated and Primary Image URL.

You can also choose to include only products that have changed since the previous backup. This creates smaller backup files when a full copy of the catalog isn't necessary.

Note: The first scheduled backup will always be a full catalog backup.

Configure Backup Notifications

Under Where, configure how you'd like to be notified when your backup is ready.

Enter the email address that should receive the backup notification and choose whether you'd also like to receive an in-app notification.

Save Your Backup Schedule

Once you've configured your preferences, select Save Schedule.

The Backups page will display your upcoming scheduled backup so you can confirm when the next backup will run.

You can return to this page at any time to update your backup settings.

Download a Backup Immediately

You don't need to wait for your scheduled backup if you need a current copy of your catalog.

Select Download Entire Catalog Backup Now to generate a full backup of your catalog.

This manual backup is independent of your automatic backup schedule.

Access Previous Backups

Previously generated backups are available from the Backups page.

For each backup, you can view information such as when it was created and download the associated backup file.

Backups remain available in Surefront for 30 days, so download any files you need to retain beyond that period
