Use a project's Product Development workspace to collect requirements and artwork, choose base products, and prepare variations with Sura. Your company's enabled features, allowances, and available credits determine which actions you can use.
Open the workspace
- Open Product Lifecycle Management, choose a category, and open an existing Project.
- Select PD above the project's product table.
- Move between Project requirements, Upload requirements, Upload artwork, and Base products. PD results becomes available for a generation run.
Review project requirements
- Review the project tag and customer selection.
- Enter the project requirements and Creative brief. Use separate sections for requirements that need their own title.
- If you use a PD rewrite action, review Sura's proposed wording. Keep the requirements accurate before confirming them.
- Select Confirm requirements when the requirements are ready. Changing them later requires confirmation again.
Add requirements and artwork
- Open Upload requirements for supporting specifications, or Upload artwork for design references.
- Add a description and use the corresponding upload control to select your files. Review the processing credits displayed for your account.
- Use the row's PD action to prepare its summary when available.
- Read and correct the Sura summary, then select Confirm summary. Select the artwork references you want to use, within the displayed limit.
Choose base products and preview
- Open Base products. Use Quick View to inspect an item. If you need another project product, use Add from Catalog.
- Select each base product you want to develop. Enter its Instruction and choose its number of Variants.
- Resolve the requirements or allowance messages shown above the products. Review the displayed credits per developed product.
- Select Preview Result when it is available to start generation and open PD results.
- Review the generated results and any reported conflicts or errors before using them in your product work.
Save stores workspace changes. Back to Project returns to the project's product view and can save pending workspace changes. Uploading, processing, confirming, and previewing can also save the workspace; complete your edits before choosing those actions.
The Product Development workspace is separate from a quote's Send to PD handoff. Use the action appropriate to the project or quote you are working on.
