This feature allows ONLY Company and Buyer admins to create and edit Departments and Categories.

  • Navigate to the left menu button > Administration > Departments and Categories

  • There will be “New Department” and “New Category” buttons on the top right of the page. Note - departments can have both sub-departments and categories as children, while categories cannot have any sub-categories.

  • Clicking on the “New Department” button will bring up a pop-up where it will require you to enter a Name for the Department and, if desired, to enter an internal ID for this Department.

  • Click “Create Department” on the bottom right to create the new Department.

  • You can assign managers for this Department by:

  1. Click on the desired Department in the left column and then click “Add Manager” button.

  2. Choose the desired manager from the list or search for them using the provided search field.

  3. Then click on the “Add Manager” button on the bottom right of the pop-up

  4. This manager will have purview over ALL of the child Categories in this Department

  • Next, while the desired Department is chosen on the left, you can create a new Category under that Department by clicking the “New Category” button on the top right.

  • Enter the Category name in the pop-up and if so desired, an internal ID, and then click the “Create Category’ button on the bottom right of the pop-up.

  • You are then able to assign Buyers to this Category as follows:

  1. While the Category on the left has been chosen, click the “Add Buyer” button on the right side under the Category name.

  2. Choose the desired Buyer from the list or search for them using the provided search field.

  3. Then click on the “Add Buyer” button on the bottom right of the pop-up

  4. This Buyer will only have purview over this Category.
